Romelu Lukaku Produces Priceless Reaction When Asked Whether Belgium Or Man United Are Better

Romelu Lukaku produced the most priceless reaction when he was quizzed on whether the Belgium national team is better than Manchester United's current side.

Lukaku scored 27 goals for Jose Mourinho's side following his £75 million move from Everton but ultimately ended the season trophyless - United finishing second and losing the FA Cup final to his former employers Chelsea.

The Anderlecht youth product took part in a press conference as he gears up for his second World Cup appearance and amongst other things, was asked to give his take on if his club or country has the better squad.

The question, which came from the public according to the bloke who asked it, prompted Lukaku to deliver some outstanding facial expressions. It was Rom's very own version of that Ice Cube and Chris Tucker "DAMN!" Scene in 'Friday'.

Eventually, after a bit of deliberating, he admitted that Belgium have a better group than United with a short and sweet answer. You'd have to say at the moment though, Roberto Martinez's side would have to edge it and we await to discover whether things will finally click into place at his tournament after recent disappointments.

The 25-year old has an excellent record of 33 goals in 66 games for his country but still feels as though he hasn't been appreciated enough by Belgium fans.

He was given a standing ovation in the 4-0 friendly win over Saudi Arabia after scoring but it's still not enough for Lukaku.

"A first applause after nine years," he is quoted as saying by The Telegraph.

"Has everything been forgotten and forgiven between me and the public? As far as I am concerned not yet. One applause in nine years, then it is not forgotten and forgiven."

Belgium have three more friendlies to help prepare for their World Cup campaign, which gets underway against Panama in Group G on 18 June.
