Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira hints at Premier League switch

Sami Khedira has expressed his "fascination" with the Premier League, opening the door for a move away from Juventus when his contract expires next season.

Khedira, 31, has been with the Old Lady since signing on a free transfer from La Liga giants Real Madrid in 2015, but the German international has admitted that he  wants to play "in as many Leagues as possible" before he retires.

Compatriot Emre Can has also been heavily linked with a move to Juve in the summer when his contract expires with Liverpool, with the Serie A league-leaders having publicly stated their interest on numerous occasions.

Khedira, meanwhile, insists he is happy with his position at the club, though he has not ruled anything out.

Speaking to reporters, according to Football Italia, Khedira said: "The Premier League fascinates me.

"My contract expires next year, and I often think about the future because anything can happen in football.

"I'm fine here, I understand that I'm at a special team, but I love and always look for new challenges: one of these is to try to win as many trophies as possible, in as many Leagues as possible."

Sami Khedira will clinch his third successive Scudetto this season after challengers Napoli faltered in the club's race for the Serie A title, while the German international can also claim a third consecutive domestic double this season.

Juventus take on AC Milan in the Coppa Italia on Wednesday night, and should the Old Lady win, it would be the Turin club's fifth back-to-back defence of the trophy.

The 31-year-old has been instrumental to Massimiliano Allegri's side this season as he is currently enjoying his most prolific goalscoring campaign, having netted nine times from midfield in the league, while also registering two assists.

Juve take travel to the Stadio Olimpico to take on Roma next weekend, before hosting Verona in the last game of the Serie A season.
