Morecambe missing Garry Thompson for visit of Cambridge

Morecambe will be without forward Garry Thompson when they bid for the victory over Cambridge which would secure their Sky Bet League Two survival.
Thompson suffered an Achilles injury in last Saturday’s 1-0 loss at Crewe and was replaced by Gregg Wylde after 14 minutes.
Morecambe have no other injury concerns for the clash with mid-table United.
A point for the Shrimps would confirm bottom club Chesterfield‘s relegation, while they can clinch their own survival with three points from a win.
Striker Barry Corr could start for Cambridge after coming off the substitutes’ bench to score the winner in last Saturday’s 4-3 victory over Cheltenham.
Striker Jabo Ibhere is out with a knee injury and likely to miss the season final.
Uche Ikpeazu would be his natural replacement, but the striker has had a back problem of late and has rejected the opportunity to stay at United, preferring to move to Hearts this summer.
Liam O’Neil (thigh) is almost certainly out, while Piero Mingoia (groin) has returned to training and could come into contention.
