Manchester United make contract offer to Barcelona midfielder Rakitic

Manchester United have made contact with Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic.

The Croatia international, 30, has been linked with a move away from the Nou Camp in recent months.

Rakitic is said to be concerned about his future at Barca under Ernesto Valverde.

Don Balon says United have tabled a firm proposal to Rakitic and his representatives.

Jose Mourinho is said to be desperate to land the Barca star this summer to bolster his midfield at Old Trafford.
