Jose Mourinho identifies the difference between Alexis Sanchez and Marcus Rashford

Manchester United recorded their fourth straight league win on Saturday afternoon with a comfortable 2-0 victory at home to Swansea City.

Romelu Lukaku got things off to a super start by bagging his 100th Premier League goal in the fifth-minute from Alexis Sanchez's assist, who then scored with a neat finish fifteen minutes later.

Jose Mourinho's men dominated possession, looked very bright at times going forward and, most importantly, managed to get Alexis performing somewhere near his very best levels.

Since joining Man Utd from Arsenal in January, the Chilean has registered just two goals and three assists in 11 matches, but was an integral part of many good moments against Swansea.

The 29-year-old started the match on the left-wing ahead of Marcus Rashford, and United manager Mourinho has pinpointed the biggest difference between the two attackers.

ALEXIS STARTS AHEAD OF RASHFORD AND MARTIAL

Many Man United fans think Anthony Martial is their most exciting wide man, however both he and Rashford were on the bench against Swansea, with Alexis named in the starting XI.

As you'll remember, Rashford starred in the Red Devils' last Premier League game back on March 10, scoring two fine goals in a 2-1 triumph over bitter rivals Liverpool.

Despite that, when Mourinho was asked about his team selection prior to Man Utd 2-0 Swansea, he explained what he thinks is a key difference between the 20-year-old and Sanchez.

MOURINHO: THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ALEXIS AND RASHFORD

In his pre-match interview, the "Special One" said, via Manchester Evening News: "Alexis is different to Marcus (Rashford) because Marcus needs more space.

"Alexis, in small spaces, can manipulate the ball better and is trying his best to be one against one (with opposition defenders). So the decisions are based on that."

So, Mourinho has suggested that Rashford, who's scored 12 times so far this season, needs more space, where he can run at the opposition and utilise his blistering pace.

In contrast, the Man United boss' comments clearly indicate that he feels Alexis, in addition to high work-rate, has the craft and technical ability to operate effectively in tighter areas.

Both Sanchez and Rashford will be desperate to be involved for next Saturday's huge clash as Man Utd make the short trip to face neighbours and soon-to-be champions Manchester City.
