And German TV channel Sport1 claim Tuchel has already negotiated with Arsenal about taking over from the Frenchman.

It is added Chelsea would be keen on him if as expected they part company with Conte at the end of the season.

Paris Saint-Germain are also mooted as an option for Tuchel, but Arsenal appear to be the frontrunners.

Tuchel is well known by Arsenal's new head of recruitment Sven Mislintat, with the pair working together at Dortmund.

Although it has been said that they endured a somewhat rocky relationship.

“He has continued the progression from the youth teams at Mainz. That is the stairway to success that you must take, learning the correct approach and people skills.
