Thomas Mikkelsen earns Dundee United point against Inverness

Thomas Mikkelsen’s second-half equaliser earned Dundee United a 1-1 Ladbrokes Championship draw with Inverness.
Inverness had a golden opportunity to take an eighth-minute lead when George Oakley latched onto Iain Vigurs’ ball to burst clear but Harry Lewis blocked his effort.
And they did go ahead in the 30th minute as Vigurs climbed highest to head home Liam Polworth’s corner.
Inverness continued to dominate and only a last-ditch tackle from Mark Durnan prevented Connor Bell getting on the end of Oakley’s ball in for a simple tap-in.
Mikkelsen dragged a shot wide as the Terrors slowly got back into the game before he levelled in the 64th minute.
Scott McDonald’s shot appeared to be going wide but Mikkelsen stretched out a leg to divert it past Mark Ridgers to earn a share of the spoils.
