Sone Aluko set to bolster Reading’s attacking options

Reading boss Jaap Stam could welcome Sone Aluko back into the fold for the midweek clash with Bolton.
Forward Aluko missed last week’s 3-1 defeat to Sheffield United through illness but after Saturday’s trip to Wolves was postponed on safety grounds following heavy snowfall, Aluko has had extra time to recover and should be fit to feature.
John Swift (hamstring) also missed out against the Blades and will be assessed ahead of this game, while Modou Barrow (knock) was an unused substitute and may return.
Garath McCleary (ankle) was forced off in the early stages against United and is likely to miss out.
Mark Little and Karl Henry return from suspension to boost Bolton.
Defender Little served a three-match ban following his dismissal at QPR, while midfielder Henry missed two games after he collected a 10th yellow card in the win over Sunderland.
Sammy Ameobi (knock) will be assessed ahead of kick-off but boss Phil Parkinson has no other new concerns.
Jan Kirchhoff could make his full debut after he stepped off the bench against Preston at the weekend.
