ROBIN VAN PERSIE showed he is ready for KNVB Cup semi-final by posting a picture of himself aged eight in a Feynoord hat.

The Eredivisie champions will be looking to get over their 3-1 home defeat to PSV Eindhoven by sealing their place in the final with a win against Willem II.

And former Manchester United and Arsenal striker Van Persie, 34, tried to get himself in the mood by showing himself in his younger days supporting his boyhood club.

Van Persie posted: This young man is ready for Wednesday to see!! 🤣 🔴⚪ 💪🏻 this boy is ready for Wednesday !!!! #me8yearsold."

Feyenoord will be hoping for some unity going into the crunch clash after two of their players had to be pulled apart in training last week.

Sven van Beek and Steven Berghuis were involved in a training ground scrap and had to be stopped from coming to blows.

The incident was sparked after Berguis, 26, attempted to lunge into Van Beek, 23, when chasing a loose ball.

But the towering centre-half out-muscled the winger and flattened him to the floor.

Defending champions Feyenoord sit fourth in the Eredivisie and have practically failed in their bid for Champions League qualification.

And getting to a final could be just what the team need to try and finish strongly in the remainder of the season.
