The Special One was ambushed by an Italian TV company outside the Lowry Hotel in Manchester
Jose Mourinho’s feud with Antonio Conte has been pretty spicy in recent weeks.
The Manchester United manager has waged a war of words with his Chelsea counterpart, after suggesting that the Italian behaved “like a clown” on the touchline.
Conte hit back, saying Mourinho had “senile dementia” before the Portuguese brought up Conte’s 2012 charge for match-fixing – of which he was eventually cleared in 2016.
Not the best of friends
We’ve all been watching on from the sidelines, curious to see what insults the pair will fling at each other next.
And Italian reporters Alessandro Onnis and Stefano Corti from Le Iene have tried their best to reignite the savagery, by pulling off a brilliant prank on the Special One.
Smile, Jose!
The pair, known for their elaborate pranks (think Ashton Kutcher of Punk’d, but without the baseball cap), ambushed Mourinho outside the Lowry Hotel in Manchester where he lives, and started asking him a series of questions about Conte.
Mourinho, who actually appeared to be in a rare good mood, was more than obliging, and even signed a United shirt for them when they asked.
Having signed the shirt, the pair turned it over to reveal ‘Antonio Conte No 1’ emblazoned on the back.
Blimey guys, that is brave.
