The prolific winger has been a revelation at Anfield this season, scoring 24 goals since arriving from Roma in a £35m deal in the summer.

With 20 goals in the Premier League alone, he is almost certain to be crowned the signing of the season.

Recently resurfaced footage, shot during a Pepsi Schools Championship in his native country in 2004, shows the speedy star has always been able to rely on his left foot.

Recently resurfaced footage, shot during a Pepsi Schools Championship in his native country in 2004, shows the speedy star has always been able to rely on his left foot.

The clip begins showing him lacing home an impressive strike into the top corner of the five-a-side goals, before zooming in on the fresh-faced youngster celebrating the goal.

Later, he finds the net a second time, rocketing a penalty into the roof of the net.

Thousands have seen the clip after it was posted on social media site Reddit earlier today.

"This is art,” joked one Liverpool fan.

The Egyptian proved he's always had a decent left peg

Another wrote: “I couldn’t love this bloke more.”

It comes after the club confirmed midfielder Marko Grujic has joined Cardiff on loan until the end of the season.

Reds chiefs are also said to be keen to sign Schalke’s Leon Goretzka – but the interest of Bayern Munich could harm their chances of landing the talented German.
