Mourinho to Conte: I will never be suspended for match-fixing

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho quickly responded to Antonio Conte's suggestion he may be suffering from dementia by reminding the Chelsea manage that he had peviously been accused of match-fixing.

Before joining Chelsea, Conte was implicated in a scandal while at Siena in 2011 but was later cleared of any wrongdoing.

Mourinho had earlier said that he was not losing his interest at United because he didn't act like a 'clown' on the touchline which was seen as a jibe at Conte and the Italian responded by claiming it looked as though his counterpart was suffering from senile dementia.

"I do not blame him, I think the press should apologise to both him and me," said Mourinho, after United's FA Cup win over Southampton.

"The question was completely wrong that was given to him and as a result the response was out of control. I was asked about my passion and I spoke about my passion and I was talking about myself.

"Then the question was given to him as though I was refering to him. I do not blame Conte at all and I understand his reaction.

"The only thing I want to say is that yes I made mistakes in the past on the touchline. Yes I will make less but I think I will make a few. What never happened to me and will never happen is to be suspended for match-fixing."
