Wenger challenges Ozil, Sanchez and Lacazette to repeat Everton display

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has called upon the attacking triumvirate of Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Alexandre Lacazette to repeat the excellent display they produced against Everton when the Gunners host Swansea City tomorrow afternoon.

With Ozil and Sanchez having been in and out of the side owing to injuries and fitness issues, the 5-2 victory away to Everton last weekend was the first occasion on which Wenger named his first-choice attacking trio alongside eachother in the starting line-up.

The three players seemed to bring the best out of eachother as they all got on the scoresheet, while Ozil and Sanchez provided assists.

As reported by the London Evening Standard, Wenger said: "You always want everyone in the best possible shape and, of course, when you miss people it is frustrating.

"They were very efficient at Everton, they have to be efficient on Saturday. There is no definite solution, we are in a job where competition counts, and if it works, they have to make it work to keep their position.

Wenger claimed that the performances that Ozil and Sanchez produced at Goodison Park show that their commitment can't be questioned despite them having entered the final year of their respective contracts without signing new deals.

Wenger said: "What people questioned is their commitment. I didn't and what happened on Sunday reinforces my belief. What we want from them is to show that week in, week out."

The combination of speed and technique that Ozil, Sanchez and Lacazette possess make them hugely effective as a unit and they should be raring to go against Swansea having all been rested for the midweek Carabao Cup victory against Norwich City.

Arsenal go into tomorrow's game in fifth place in the Premier League table and are nine points adrift of leaders Manchester City.
