Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp wasn't impressed with Manchester United's tactics
JURGEN KLOPP sniped at Manchester United's defensive "park the bus" tactics at Anfield as they held his Liverpool team to a dull 0-0 draw.
"They came for a point and they got it," said Klopp.
"You could not play this way at Liverpool but it's okay for Manchester United. It was obvious they had a more defensive approach. They are happy. We are not happy. They were okay for a point, we wanted three."
Klopp declined to directly criticise opposing manager Jose Mourinho but the inference was clear.
"We created enough chances to win the game and we could have had a penalty, but we didn't score," said the Liverpool boss.
"They defended with nine players around the box. I don't judge that ... they're allowed to do it. But it made our job more difficult."
Liverpool are now set for a Champions League clash with Maribor in Slovenia on Tuesday.
The Reds are second in group E, two points behind Sevilla.
Manchester United will take on Benfica in the Da Luz Stadium on Wednesday.
