Dembele surgeon: Barcelona transfer pressure contributed to injury

The surgeon who operated on Barcelona striker Ousmane Dembele's thigh injury has delivered a positive progress report.

Dembele broke down last month, just weeks into his club record move to Barca.

Dr Sakari Ovara told El Mundo Deportivo: "I am in constant contact with Dr. Pruna, who is in charge of following the player and giving me news about his recovery.

"It seems that until now everything is going well for Dembele. He is like all the young of his age, he is very optimistic, but I prefer to be careful. After the pressure he felt after his transfer, that may have had an influence."
