Argentina World Cup failure would force retailer to refund hundreds of TV sets.

In August, television company Noblex ran a promotion guaranteeing anyone who bought a 50 inch 4K television between August 24 and August 31 a full refund if Argentina do not qualify for the World Cup.

Before the game against Uruguay at the end of the sales period, all 300 televisions available in the promotion had been sold. Now, the company is preparing to provide refunds.

It will be a tough task for Argentina to qualify for the World Cup after drawing with Peru on Thursday night, and they must now beat Ecuador to guarantee their spot in Russia.

"Seven thousand people have gone on to our website to buy televisions after the draw with Peru," said Luis Galli, president of the Newsan-Noblex Group on Radio La Red.
