Crystal Palace are set to get their EFL Cup campaign underway at home to Championship outfit Ipswich on Tuesday night.
The Eagles will be hoping to use the clash as a springboard to get their campaign up and running, after suffering two defeats in their opening two Premier League games.
Frank de Boer's charges lost their season opener 3-0 at home against Huddersfield, but performed better on Saturday in a narrow 1-0 loss at Liverpool.
Meanwhile, the Tractor Boys are in terrific form coming into the cup-tie having won all five of their games so far this term, most recently beating Brentford 2-0 in the Championship on Saturday.
Mick McCarthy's side clinched their place in the second round of the league cup with a 2-0 win over Luton at Kenilworth Road on August 8 – David McGoldrick securing the win with a brace on the day.
McCarthy said in his pre-match press conference: "Already pressure on them [Palace]. More so against such a young Ipswich team. If we can relax and play, who knows, we might cause an upset."
In team news, Palace are still without the services of winger Wilfried Zaha, who is only expected back in three weeks, while Ipswich have two long-term injuries in Andre Dozzel and Adam Webster.
