FORMER Chelsea star Hernan Crespo has delivered his predictions for this season’s Premier League.

The action begins again tomorrow night as Arsenal take on Leicester at the Emirates Stadium.

Crespo, who won the Premier League with the Blues in 2005/06, is backing Arsene Wenger’s men to reclaim a spot in the top-four, along with Man City, Man Utd and Chelsea.

But he is siding with his former manager Jose Mourinho and plumping for Manchester United for the title.

Speaking to BetStars, who have the Red Devils at 3/1 to life the trophy, the Argentinian said: “I think Manchester United will win the Premier League because Mourinho has never failed in a second season.

"Jose is one of the best in the world. He’s made history everywhere with Porto, Inter and now he can do it with Manchester United.”

And Crespo also gave a controversial pick for Golden Boot, despite Harry Kane winning it two years in a row.

He said: “Harry Kane is the best striker in the Premier League right now, but for me, Romelu Lukaku is the best signing of the summer transfer window.

"He has experience in the Premier League and scored a lot of goals at Everton. Now he will want to prove to everybody, and himself, that he can do it at a big club like Manchester United after it didn’t work out for him at Chelsea.

"If I was a Premier League manager and had to choose between Lukaku, Morata and Lacazette, I would choose Lukaku, always.”

And at 4/1 with BetStars there is some value in backing Jose’s new main man up front.

But there won’t be too many who put some money on his choice for Player of the Year – Wayne Rooney at 100/1.

Justifying his choice, Crespo said it was a “romantic choice”.
