It wasn't just football fans who were confused by Sunday's Emirates Cup finale between Arsenal and Sevilla...
Despite suffering a 2-1 loss against the Spanish side, Arsenal still managed to claim the trophy by virtue of having scored more goals in the tournament overall, leading to widespread bewilderment.
But the confusion was shared amongst the players as well, with Sevilla striker Wissam Ben Yedder taking to Twitter as a result.
The Frenchman, who set up Joaquin Correa for Sevilla's opener, jokingly asked Arsenal to "give us back" the trophy, with Eduardo Berizzo's men having won both of their Emirates Cup matches.
Ben Yedder's response drew an offensive reaction from one angry Arsenal supporter in particular, but the 26-year-old striker followed up with a razor-sharp response.
The Champions League is a sensitive subject amongst the Arsenal fan base, having missed out on qualifying for Europe's elite club competition by finishing fifth in the Premier League last season.
And Ben Yedder seized his opportunity to troll by saying the fan could watch his side get their "revenge" in the Champions League next season, only to purposely remember Arsenal will be competing in the Europa League instead. Ouch...
