Sergio Ramos has informed Kylian Mbappe that "the doors will be open" for him to complete a record move to Real Madrid from Monaco this summer, saying the striker would be a fantastic addition to the side.
Mbappe burst onto the scene last season with Monaco, scoring 26 goals in all competitions to help the French club secure the Ligue 1 title and reach the semi-finals of the Champions League.
The 18-year-old's excellent form has led to heavy interest in Mbappe from Real Madrid, while Arsenal, Manchester City and PSG have also been credited with keeping tabs on the teenager.
And now Madrid captain Ramos has talked up Mbappe's ability, saying that the youngster has the potential to be one of football's best.
And the defender has told Mbappe that the youngster is more than welcome at the Bernabeu, should he want to move to the La Liga champions.
Speaking on Saturday, per Goal, Ramos said: "It's not a decision for me but Mbappe is a great prospect, there are not young players around like him.
"We have an important year ahead of us and already have excellent players.
"But it's money which moves football and people can pay what they want. If he wants to come to Real Madrid the doors will be open."
