Barcelona coach Valverde eager to work with Messi

Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde says he's looking forward to working with Lionel Messi.

The Argentine penned a new contract earlier this month, though the pair are yet to speak face-to-face.

Valverde stated: "He's a unique player.

"It is a relief to have him under my command. He can play in all positions and his role will always be the same.

"He is decisive, no matter where he plays."
