Mario Balotelli has extended his stay at Nice by signing a new one-year contract with the club.
Balotelli's previous deal was set to expire at the end of this month and the Italian striker had been linked with several clubs ahead of a possible move.
However, as confirmed by the club's official website, Balotelli will be remaining with Nice, where he made a major impact last season.
Having courted controversy for much of his career, the 26-year-old showed some long-awaited signs of maturity at Nice last season, scoring 17 goals in 28 games across all competitions.
Nice finished in third place in Ligue 1 last campaign and will enter next season's Champions League at the third qualifying round stage, with Balotelli hoping to make a major impact in Europe's elite club competition.
Balotelli has played for several high-profile clubs throughout his career including Inter Milan, Manchester City, Liverpool and AC Milan, but he now seems very much at home at Nice.
