Redknapp: Birmingham have made ex-Chelsea captain Terry 'a good offer'

Birmingham City manager Harry Redknapp tabled a contract offer to former Chelsea captain John Terry.
Terry left Stamford Bridge at the end of the season following a 22-year association with the Premier League champions.
Top-flight sides Bournemouth and West Brom are believed to be interested in signing the free agent, but Redknapp has confirmed he is attempting to convince the 36-year-old to move to St. Andrews and test himself in the Championship.
"He’s a fantastic captain and great leader," the former Tottenham manager told TalkSPORT.
"We’ve made him a good offer and we have done the best we can. It’s up to John now, but we would love him at Birmingham."
John Terry registered a 92% pass accuracy in the Premier League this season
Despite only making nine Premier League appearances under Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge last season, Birmingham boss Redknapp has no doubt the former England international has plenty to offer his side.
"He could play for anybody still. He has got a couple of good years in him," Redknapp continued.
"He played for me the other week in Michael Carrick’s testimonial. Fergie had the 2008 Champions League-winning team, I had an All-Star team and I had John at the back with Jamie Carragher – I would have them two together all day long. They were fantastic."
"I had a chat with him and said to him to come in – he’s doing his coaching badges – have a year or two and who knows what he wants to do in the future?"
John Terry averaged three defensive actions per game in the Premier League last season.
