Victor Lindelof to Man Utd: Benfica star to complete £35m move on Wednesday - report
Manchester United will sign Benfica star Victor Lindelof on Wednesday

VICTOR LINDELOF will complete his move to Manchester United on Wednesday, according to reports.

The Benfica star has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford with Jose Mourinho keen to bolster his defensive ranks this summer.

Mourinho tried to sign the Sweden international in January but a move failed to materialise.

But now that Manchester United have secured a route back into the Champions League via their Europa League triumph a move for Lindelof is back on.

And The Sun claim he is expected to complete his to United move on Wednesday with a £35million being offered to Benfica for his services.

Lindelof, 22, is currently on international duty with Sweden, who take on Norway in a World Cup Qualifier on Tuesday.

But The Sun say he will fly straight to Manchester the following day to undergo his medical before penning a five-year contract.

The centre-back has even gone as far as telling his friends last night prior to Sweden's 2-1 win over France that he cannot wait to join "a massive club" and vowed to "fight for his team and fans".

A source told The Sun: "It's a done deal. There are some very minor things to wrap up and of course the medical.

"He hasn't wanted to allow the move to distract him from Sweden duty but he will be flying straight to Manchester after the game in Oslo on Tuesday and then undergoing his medical."

Lindelof is not the only player on Jose Mourinho's wish list, with the Portuguese boss keen on signing a top striker following Zlatan Ibrahimovic's departure.

Real Madrid star Alvaro Morata has been mooted as a possible target and The Sun reckon details of a four-year contract are being finalised to land the 24-year-old.
