Aston Villa will assess midfielder Mile Jedinak ahead of the visit of Norwich after he returned from international duty with Australia.

The former Crystal Palace man only landed on Thursday following the Socceroos' 2-0 win over the United Arab Emirates in Sydney on Tuesday, and could be rested as a result.

Gabby Agbonlahor has returned to training after a hamstring injury but is not yet match fit while Rushian Hepburn-Murphy (ankle) is also training but will not be considered yet.

Nathan Baker has recovered from a knee injury and is in contention to feature, with Jack Grealish also fit again following his own knee problem.

Norwich will be missing midfielder Wes Hoolahan, who pulled out of international duty with the Republic of Ireland because of a thigh problem.

Defender Mitchell Dijks is unavailable as he serves the second game of a three-match suspension, but Youssouf Mulumbu could return after almost seven weeks out with a thigh problem.

Matt Jarvis (hamstring), still yet to feature for the Canaries this term, continues his latest recovery with an appearance for the under-23s as he attempts to prove his fitness.

Nelson Oliveira and Graham Dorrans made comebacks off the bench against Barnsley last time out, but are likely to have to remain patient on the bench, while Louis Thompson (Achilles) remains out.
