Accrington Stanley vs Grimsby Town - Accrington without keeper Rodak for Grimsby clash due to international call-up
Posted Friday, March 24, 2017 by PA
Accrington will be without Marek Rodak for Saturday's Sky Bet League Two home clash against Grimsby due to the goalkeeper being on international duty with Slovakia Under-21s.
Seamus Conneely, who turned his ankle in the 2-1 win at Morecambe on Tuesday, and Arron Davies, sidelined of late after being injured in a domestic accident, are doubts.
Scott Brown remains suspended as he serves the second game of his five-match ban, and Erico Sousa this week left to join Tranmere after failing to make an appearance for Stanley because of registration issues.
Sean Clare has a broken bone in his foot and consequently the man signed in January from Sheffield Wednesday on a loan deal to the end of the season is set to miss the rest of the campaign.
Gavin Gunning is set to make a timely return to Grimsby rearguard after recovering from concussion.
The Scot is set to replace fellow defender Danny Collins, who is suspended after being sent off in his side's draw with Crawley last week.
Boss Marcus Bignot admitted he had at least two injury worries for the trip to Stanley but declined to identify the players concerned.
Akwasi Asante and Tom Bolarinwa are both pushing to return to the starting line-up after coming off the bench in the second half against Crawley.
