Done deal: Striker signs after Tottenham agree terms

Tottenham striker Shayon Harrison has made the move to League Two side Yeovil until the end of the season, it was confirmed on Friday.

The 19-year-old centre-forward has made the switch to the south west in his first temporary move away from Spurs.

The north London side revealed the deal on their official Twitter account on Friday after the player had agreed personal terms with Darren Way's team.

Harrison has only tasted senior football once after making his debut against Liverpool in October in the EFL Cup.

He made a seven minute cameo, entering the pitch for summer signing Georges-Kevin N'Koudou.

The youngster has played a star role in the youth ranks for Spurs this season, bringing a return of eight goals and two assists in 15 appearances for the young team.

He will now be keen to impress in his first loan deal at Yeovil, who sit in 16th place in the English fourth tier.

Way's side have won just one of their previous seven encounters and Harrison will be eager to help the team return to winning ways.

The player still has one year left on his contract at Spurs, meaning this loan could prove pivotal for his future.

Football Insider verdict:

A struggling Yeovil team is a tough place to go to in your first loan move. However, this will be the moment where Harrison can show whether he has what it takes to make it at Spurs. Mauricio Pochettino has already handed him his Tottenham debut, meaning that he is looking for the player to progress. However, he now needs to show with The Glovers that he has an ability above the Football League. At 19 time is now running out for him to break into the Tottenham team and if he doesn't then he can also use this loan move to put himself in the shop window for other teams.
