Hull City 2 - 2 Everton: Story of the match

Ross Barkley denied Hull a rare Premier League victory by heading home a late equaliser.
The Everton midfielder has struggled to produce his best form this season but rescued his side in the 84th minute after Robert Snodgrass's second-half free-kick had regained Hull the lead.
Both sides hit the woodwork after Hull goalkeeper David Marshall's own goal had cancelled out Michael Dawson's first-half opener for Hull, but although Mike Phelan's side moved off the bottom of the table, they have now gone nine games without a league success.

Snodgrass again displayed deadly accuracy with free-kicks but it is not just his dead-ball expertise that sets him out from the crowd. The Tigers winger was central to his side's attacking intent, showing trickery and awareness to keep the Everton defence on the back foot, rarely wasting possession and always keen to get on the ball and try to make things happen.
MOMENT OF THE MATCH
Snodgrass had already seen one sublime free-kick hit the crossbar and when handed a second chance midway through the second half the Scotland international curled the ball left-footed inside Everton goalkeeper Joel Robles' right-hand post - the opposite side to the one he fired in 10 minutes earlier - for his sixth Premier League goal of the season.

When Hull skipper Michael Dawson gave his side a sixth-minute lead the omens looked good for Mike Phelan's side as they had conceded the first goal on 15 previous occasions this season in 18 Premier League games since winning promotion back to the top flight last May.
