Peterborough vs Gillingham - No new injuries for in-form Peterborough ahead of Gillingham game

Posted Friday, December 23, 2016 by PA

Peterborough manager Grant McCann has no fresh injury or suspension concerns as his side welcome Gillingham in Sky Bet League One on Boxing Day.

Winger Harry Anderson could be a surprise inclusion in the squad after he was recalled from his youth loan with Lincoln on Thursday.

Jermaine Anderson (knee) remains sidelined.

Posh are currently sixth in the table and unbeaten in the league in December.

Gillingham boss Justin Edinburgh could name the same XI for the third successive match as they make the trip to Posh on Saturday.

Despite falling to a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Bolton two weeks ago, Edinburgh stuck by the same starting line-up and his persistence paid off as Gills came away with a 1-0 victory against MK Dons.

Billy Knott has returned to training after missing that game with a hamstring problem but he may have to settle for a place on the bench while Bradley Garmston (hamstring) and Chris Herd (ankle) will be unavailable.

Defender Aaron Morris (knee) and midfielder Lee Martin (ankle) remain on the sidelines with long-term knee and ankle injuries respectively.
