Chapecoense Crash Survivor Alan Ruschel Walks For The First Time
There were only six survivors of the tragic plane crash that shook the footballing world last night. Of the Chapecoense footballers on board only three survived. After one was told he would play football again another has taken the first steps on his long road to recovery.

Last week defender Neto's dad revealed that the player had been told by doctors that he would eventually be able to return to playing for the Brazilian team. Now there is more good news this time for right back Alan Ruschel who walked for the first time after coming out of intensive care.
Footage of Ruschel's first steps were posted on Twitter.
Speaking to the camera the defender said: "Hello everyone in Brazil and the whole world. You've been watching my recuperation.
"This is Alan Ruschel speaking. I would like to tell you that I am recovering really well and that soon, I will be back in Brazil to continue my recovery there too.
"Thank you for the strength you have given me through your prayers, for the warmth and kindness I have received. I just wanted to thank everyone. Thank you!"
The players doctor reportedly told him, "If he [Alan Ruschel] has seven lives, he should not waste the other four."
