David Luiz gets his English all wrong shouting ‘unlucky’ at Chelsea teammates

DAVID Luiz made a name for himself during his first spell at Chelsea as the club clown – becoming a fan favourite in the process.

And the Brazilian defender has wasted no time returning to his old ways upon rejoining the club on transfer deadline day in a shock £30m deal.

The 29-year-old uploaded a video to his Instagram account cheering on teammates John Terry, Michy Batshuayi and Cesc Fabregas during their recent reserve friendly against Southampton.

But Luiz showed he still needed to adjust to life back in England, accidentally confusing his words as he attempted to wish his pals well for the game.

"Unlucky John,” he appears to tell the former England skipper on the way past.

"Unlucky Cesc, unlucky Michy!”

However, some viewers have come to the former PSG man’s defence, claiming he was actually speaking in another language.

"I think the only English word he speaks here, excluding naming the players as they are passing by, is ‘coach’,” said one fan.

Another comment read: “I think it's actually ‘moleque’, which is a Brazilian word for “little kid" if I’m not mistaken, but in this context it means something like ‘lad’.

Chelsea currently sit at the top of the table following an impressive run of form in the league that has seen the team go six wins without conceding.

Their last defeat came in a 3-0 drubbing at the hands of Arsenal in a pulsating encounter at the Emirates Stadium in September.
