The axed Three Lions boss was seen struggling to withdraw money before he walked away empty-handed.

Sam, 61, who fled to his villa in Spain after his sensational sacking last week, had to go and get his wife Lynne to help.

An onlooker said: “Sam seemed to have some trouble getting money. He looked a bit miserable.

"He left with just his card in his hand, then drove off and came back with his wife in the car. She was able to get a wad of cash out.”

He is in Spain after conceding he wanted to leave the UK to “chill out and reflect”.

It’s been a tricky few weeks for Sam – who was England manager for just 67 days.

He lost his job after being caught up in a sting launched by The Daily Telegraph.

The former Sunderland boss was allegedly caught offering advice on how to circumvent rules on transfers.

The FA said in a statement last week: The FA can confirm that Sam Allardyce has left his position as England manager.
