Keylor Navas visits doctor in Amsterdam

Real Madrid player Keylor Navas will visit Dr Cornelius Van Dijk in Amsterdam on Monday.

The goalkeeper is still suffering from a pain in his Achilles tendon, so needs to find out if he will have to undergo surgery.

All signs so far suggest that the Costa Rican will need to go under the knife and if surgery is required, then the Dutch surgeon will carry it out himself, along with the help of two consultants based at Madrid's Ripoll y De Prado Sports Clinic.

It would mean, however, mean that Navas cannot join up with his Costa Rican teammates, who are currently competing at this summer's Copa America.

It's also been confirmed that Real Madrid right-back Danilo will require an operation on his ankle.

The Brazilian will pass by the operating room this Thursday in an attempt to solve the ankle issues that have plagued his first season at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

Danilo's surgery will be carried out in Madrid at the Ruber International Clinic and it will be carried out using modern techniques that hardly affect the player.

Recovery time will not be an issue for either player given that Real Madrid's squad does not return to work until July 17.
