Hoffenheim 1 - 0 Wolfsburg: Wolfsburg slip to defeat at Hoffenheim as hosts boost survival hopes

Hoffenheim dented Wolfsburg's hopes of Champions League qualification and boosted their own survival chances with a 1-0 win at the Rhein-Neckar Arena.
Andrej Kramaric scored the only goal of the game in the third minute after fooling defender Robin Knoche.
The hosts had a chance to double their lead early in the second half, awarded a soft penalty when Kramaric went over goalkeeper Koen Casteels's outstretched leg.
But the Belgian produced a fine one-handed save to keep out Kevin Volland's spot-kick after the forward had argued with Kramaric over who should take it.
Wolfsburg appeared tired after their Champions League win over Gent in midweek and, apart from an Andre Schurrle effort in stoppage time, they rarely tested Oliver Baumann in the Hoffenheim goal.
Defeat left the Wolves eight points off the top three and outside the European places, while Hoffenheim moved level with Eintracht Frankfurt, who occupy the relegation play-off berth.
