Carlos Tevez could leave Boca Juniors for China this summer, says agent

Carlos Tevez appears to be set on a move away from childhood club Boca Juniors after complaining of burn-out, with his agent touting China and Saudi Arabia as potential destinations.

Tevez joined the Buenos Aires-based club in the summer after finishing as a runner-up in the Champions League final against Real Madrid whilst leading Juventus' attack.

But what appeared to be his dream move at the time, back to the club where he began his playing career, could be over after just one season.

According to the  Mirror, Tevez, who has scored six goals for Boca since returning, has complained of suffering from burn-out after playing 18 games across all competitions from the tail end of Argentina's 2014/15 season to the current campaign, which began at the end of January.

Tevez's agent, Adrian Ruocco, has fuelled speculation as to the 32-year-old's future, warning Boca that his client could move to either the Chinese Super League or Saudi Arabia's Pro League.

His agent said: "Carlos has two or three years remaining in his career and he could go to China or Saudi.

"He has to enjoy playing once more, otherwise he may want to leave in June."

Tevez would not be the first well-known South American attacker to join the Chinese Super League if he opts to swap Buenos Aires for the Far East.

Alex Teixeira, who was heavily linked with a January transfer to Premier League giants Liverpool, chose to join Jiangsu Suning from Shakhtar Donetsk for a fee of £38 million.

The 26-year-old Brazilian scored twice on his Chinese League debut against Shandong Luneng Taishan at the weekend.

Teixeira lined up alongside new teammate Ramires, who left Chelsea in a £25m deal in January, and also got on the scoresheet as well as providing an assist.

Tevez would be making the seventh move of his career, having signed for Corinthians, West Ham, Manchester United, Manchester City, Juventus and Boca.
