Newport County vs Leyton Orient preview - Newport new-boys ready for action
Posted Friday, August 21, 2015 by PA
Newport new-boys Zak Ansah and Josh Laurent are on standby to make their debuts at home to Leyton Orient.
Midfielder Laurent, 20, arrived from Brentford on loan in midweek and was soon joined by Charlton's 21-year-old striker Ansah, who began his career at Arsenal.
Newport manager Terry Butcher was desperate to add to his depleted squad after a disappointing start to the season which has seen the Exiles pick up only one point from their opening three games.
Matt Taylor (ankle), Kevin Feely (thigh), Andrew Hughes (knee), Nathan Ralph (hamstring), Alex Rodman (calf) and Lenell John-Lewis (hamstring) all remain on the sidelines.
Orient boss Ian Hendon is set to name an unchanged side.
Hendon has named the same starting line-up for all three league matches so far, and three straight wins sees the O's sitting at the top of the early table.
Their only injury doubt is defender Alan Dunne, who came on as a late sub against Stevenage in midweek but needs a fitness test on a knock.
Winger Jobi McAnuff is once again not expected to feature as he looks for a move to a Championship club.
