Manchester United star Angel Di Maria is seriously considering his options, and may leave Old Trafford at the end of the season.

According to reports in Spain, Manchester United have been underwhelmed with his performances and are now looking to recoup some of their colossal £59.7m fee.

Paris St-Germain are seemingly the only team willing to part with a substantial fee to secure his services and may launch an offer around the £50m mark.

Juan Mata's resurgence has marginalised the Argentine in recent weeks, leaving him without a completed 90-minute match since early February.

The report claims Louis van Gaal's preference for Mata has pushed Di Maria closer to the exit door.

TALKS: Manchester United have approached PSG about signing striker Edinson Cavani

Manchester United opened talks with French champions PSG over the signing of forward Edinson Cavani.

According to the Express, Van Gaal has made Cavani his number one priority in the transfer market, and could part with over £50m to bring him to Old Trafford.

Cavani, 28, could demand astronomical wages similar to the £300,000 per-week that captain Wayne Rooney currently earns.

The 28-year-old has netted just eight goals this term, but many attribute that to the French outfit revolving around Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Southampton loanee Toby Alderweireld has refused to be drawn into reports linking him with a permanent return to Atletico Madrid.

The Belgian international has been linked with various Premier League clubs including Manchester United, Tottenham, Southampton and Manchester City.

It's believed a fee in the region of £8m would be enough to secure the 26-year-old's services, with no shortage of potential suitors.

However the British quartet have been told by Atletico Madrid legend Jose Luis Perez Caminero that Alderweireld will play a pivotal role for the Spanish outfit next season.

He said: "Oliver and Alderweireld, for example, are finishing a very good season with Porto and Southampton and we are counting on them for the next campaign."
