Bradford AFC vs Chesterfield preview - Bantams missing Davies again

Bradford will be without the injury-prone Andrew Davies for the visit of Chesterfield.

The centre-half, who has missed 18 games this season, returned to the side following an arm problem in Saturday's 2-0 win over Oldham but left the field in the 17th minute after suffering a hamstring injury.

That problem is expected to keep him out for a few weeks so Gary MacKenzie will start in defence against the Spireites.

Filipe Morais serves the final instalment of his three-game ban while Andrew Halliday remains a doubt with the injury which kept him out of the Latics clash.

Striker Armand Gnanduillet will be back in the Chesterfield squad after returning from his loan spell at Oxford.

Dan Jones was overlooked against Walsall and the left-back will also be hoping to be involved again in west Yorkshire.

The Spireites suffered no new problems at the weekend, when a late 1-0 home win over the Saddlers kept them firmly in the play-off chase.

Paul Cook has hinted at freshening up his team for the trip and the Blues boss can pick from the likes of Ritchie Humphreys, Ashley Carter, Byron Harrison and Gboly Ariyibi - as well as Gnanduillet and Jones.
