Newport County vs Stevenage Borough preview - Striker set for County comeback

Newport could include Rene Howe for the first time since August when they host Stevenage.
The former Torquay striker ruptured a thigh muscle in training but he made his reserve-team comeback in midweek for the final 36 minutes and he could be ready for a place on the bench.
Fellow forward Danny Crow also returned to action in that match along with goalkeeper Lenny Pidgeley, who is hoping to dislodge Jamie Stephens and make his first start of the campaign.
Mark Byrne, who signed an 18-month contract extension this week, has recovered from a hamstring injury and could make his first start since early November after substitute appearances against Bury and Carlisle but Chris Zebroski serves a one-match ban for receiving five yellow cards this season.
Stevenage will be without Jon Ashton for the trip to south Wales.
Ashton suffered a broken leg last time out against Morecambe on November 29 and the central defender is looking at around eight weeks on the sidelines.
However, Dean Wells, who missed that 1-1 draw with the Shrimps, could make a timely return at the weekend to fill in for Ashton.
Strikers Adam Marriott (hamstring) and Calvin Zola (ankle) have missed recent matches but two weeks without a game for Boro might have seen them benefit from the extra rest.
