Parma vs Juventus preview - Pirlo focused on Parma clash

Juventus midfielder Andrea Pirlo insists his side will not be distracted by their Champions League game with Real Madrid when they visit Parma on Saturday.

The Turin giants take on the nine-time European champions on Tuesday in Turin looking for their first win in the competition before taking on Napoli in Serie A three days later.

Despite the obvious attraction of next week's clash, Pirlo believes his team's only focus right now is on the domestic front.

"Our only thoughts right are on the game against Parma," Pirlo said on juventus.it. "Once that match is over, we will think about the game against Real Madrid and Napoli.

"We have to prepare our trip to Parma in the best possible way and bring home a good result."

Juventus coach Antonio Conte will expect his side to carry on from where they left off in the midweek triumph over Catania.

The Italian champions followed their 2-0 triumph at Genoa with a 4-0 victory against Catania on Wednesday.

The result kept the Bianconeri in third place, level on 25 points with Napoli, who are second, and five points adrift of Serie A leaders Roma.

"It was important for us to bounce back from last week's defeats to Real Madrid and Fiorentina," Pirlo said.

"We did well to keep a clean sheet in both games and now we must continue these results."

Parma have lost just once this season at the Ennio Tardini stadium but they will have to show a vast improvement if they are to surprise Juve.

The Gialloblu fell 1-0 at Genoa last time out to concede their fourth loss of the campaign.

Parma coach Roberto Donadoni, whose side is 11th in the table, expects an immediate reaction from his players.

"We threw away points against Genoa and we weren't lucid," he said. "The ferocious determination that you need at certain times simply wasn't there.

"We need maximum concentration if we are to take a good result against Juventus."
