AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani stated that Robinho is happy at the club but even if he was to leave for his homeland, the Brazilian would only join Santos.

In January, rumours of a switch to Brazil were rife with Santos said to be in the closing stages of completing a sensational loan swoop for their former player.

According to reports in the Italian media, the move collapsed back then after Santos failed to stump up a suitable loan fee while they also struggled to reach an agreement with the player's representatives.

However, the failed transfer has not soured relations between the player and the Brazilian club and he still remains keen on moving there in the near future.
Galliani shed further light on the situation by telling Domenica Sportiva: "Robinho is feeling very good at Milan."

"He turned down a number of Brazilian teams because Santos are the only option for him if he returns to Brazil.

"However, Santos did not reach an agreement with Milan and with the player for several reasons. And we are happy to have him with us."

Robinho made only one appearance in a Rossoneri shirt in February and has largely been consigned to the bench since the arrival of Mario Balotelli.
