Chelsea defender David Luiz has revealed he will not feature in Wednesday night's Premier League clash with Reading after picking up a knee injury.
The Brazilian center back took to social networking website Twitter to explain that he has been forced to pull out of the Blues' second league game of the season.
"Good morning #geezers!" he wrote. "I'm a bit sad today, because I can't play tonight, I have a pain [in] my knee".
The 25-year-old had partnered John Terry in the center of the west London outfit's defense at the DW Stadium during the 2-0 win over Wigan on Sunday but Gary Cahill is now likely to deputize in his absence.
The former Benfica stopper is entering his second full season as a Chelsea player after arriving in Jan. 2011 for 25 million euros.
