Toronto FC announced Tuesday the signing of goalkeeper Freddy Hall, who is expected to serve as the first back up for Milos Kocic.

The 27-year-old Hall, a native of Bermuda, has been training with the club for the past few weeks, and started for TFC in a high profile friendly versus Liverpool on July 21.

"Freddy brings depth to our goalkeeping position and has many qualities that we like to see at this position," Toronto head coach Paul Mariner said in a statement released by the club. "He performed well during his trial period with our club and played well against Liverpool.

"We are pleased to sign him."

Hall was most recently with Northampton Town in England, and has prior experience in North American club soccer with the Bermuda Hogges of USL Premier Development League. He joins Kocic, the injured Stefan Frei and 17-year-old Quillan Roberts as the fourth goalkeeper on the TFC roster.

Hall is also the second Bermudan to sign with Toronto, as compatriot Reggie Lambe has been with the team since signing late last year.
