Steven Milne scored a hat-trick as Dundee recorded a thumping 6-1 win at Hamilton.

Milne got Dundee's first after 21 minutes, latching on to Stephen O'Donnell's centre to prod home.

He got his second 15 minutes later with a thunderous volley from a Gary Irvine long ball.

O'Donnell got Dundee's third five minutes before half-time with an unstoppable shot into the top corner.

Milne completed his hat-trick just after the restart, neatly finishing after good work from Jake Hyde.

The fifth came after 70 minutes, Milne turning provider for Nicholas Riley who smashed home from close range, and Gavin Rae hit Dundee's sixth 10 minutes later, hammering his shot into the top corner.

Hamilton grabbed a consolation four minutes from time thanks to a curler from Douglas Imrie.
