Santos adapting to life at Arsenal

Arsenal full-back Andre Santos has revealed he is slowly getting used to life at the Emirates Stadium.

Santos joined the Gunners from Turkish giants Fenerbahce in the summer, and has already managed to force himself into Arsene Wenger's starting eleven, although he has been helped by Gael Clichy's absence through injury.

And while he initially looked slightly off the pace, Santos has shown signs of improvement in recent weeks, which he capped off with a well-taken strike in last weekend's 5-3 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Santos does admit English football did take a bit of getting used to, but reveals all the Gunners' summer signings are adapting well.

"English football is indeed very different," Santos said on Arsenal's official website. "But I'm adapting well, I'm getting used to playing more at the back and reading the game better. But I will still go forward if I have the opportunity.

"I think all our new signings integrated really well into the team, the squad is of high quality and I hope to make a difference to Arsenal's campaign."

And Santos has no doubts where the Gunners should be when asked where Arsenal belong on the Barclays Premier League table.

"The top four is where Arsenal deserves to be.

"It's an excellent club, one that has been home to many great players, with an outstanding manager and a great squad.

"I hope we can improve with every round to climb the table and keep pushing forward."

Following an abysmal start to the campaign, Arsenal have risen to seventh in the table, just three points behind fourth-placed Chelsea.
