LOOKING GREAT ... Gareth Bale in Team GB shirt
GARETH BALE has sparked controversy by wearing a Team GB football shirt in a new advert for Adidas.
The Tottenham ace, 22, proudly shows off the 'supporter shirt' — despite the Welsh FA's assertion that none of their players would feature at London 2012.
England Under-21s boss Stuart Pearce, who will be Great Britain's coach for the Olympics, insists he will select his best squad for next summer's tournament, including those from Wales and Scotland.
With the team limited to Under-23s plus three over-age players, Spurs winger Bale is likely to be one of the first names on his list for selection.
Yet, Scottish and Welsh football chiefs are adamant they do not want their stars to be selected, fearing their positions as individual countries within FIFA could be at risk.
And Bale's appearance in this advert for Team GB's clothing range is likely to ignite further fury within the Wales camp.
