Arsenal's Jack Wilshere ‘gutted’ not to be playing in season opener at Newcastle

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has expressed his dismay in not being able to feature in his side’s season opener against Newcastle United on Saturday.
Using the social media tool Twitter, Wilshere was downbeat on his personal situation, but had time to wish his fellow teammates all the best in the upcoming fixture.
"Gutted not to be playing tomorrow but wish all the lads the best of luck!," he tweeted. "We need a good start! #gooners."
The Gunners’ starlet is facing time on the sidelines due to an ankle injury sustained during Arsenal’s clash with Thierry Henry’s New York Red Bulls in the Emirates Cup and was forced off less than ten minutes into the game.
Arsene Wenger will also be without midfield duo Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas as they are not deemed fit enough to play by their manager, whilst the saga continues over whether they will lead the north London outfit.
