Cesc Fabregas in plea for A quick Arsenal switch

CESC FABREGAS wants his future sorting out before Arsenal’s Far East tour.

Arsenal are due to depart for Malaysia at the weekend, but Cesc Fabregas wants his £35m move to Barcelona wrapped up before then.

Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis was due to hold talks with Barca’s sporting director Sandro Rossell last night.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is resigned to losing the midfielder, but wants to get as much money as possible.

But with Fabregas telling Arsenal he wants to leave, the message from Barca last night to Gazidis was that they would not be prepared to go over the £35m mark.

The Spanish midfielder returned to training yesterday but worked with the physios as he looks to complete his recovery from hamstring problems which sidelined him at the end of last season.

Barca had wanted Fabregas to cause a fuss and refuse to return to training in a bid to force the deal through.

But Gunners physio Joan Ferrando said on radio station Cope Spain: “Cesc is training very well and is working professionally.

“There’s no way he would rebel against the club.”

But a source close to Fabregas’ family insisted he wants out of Arsenal as quickly as possible.

The source said: “He will not cause a fuss but he also wants things to be sorted out quickly.

“It would make life easier for all concerned if the move was sorted out before the Far East tour at the weekend.

“That is what Cesc wants.”
