Napoli's Marek Hamsik: AC Milan interest is wonderful

Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik is pleased with the growing number of rumors linking him with a move to AC Milan, but maintains his current club will have the final say over his future.
Italian reports have pictured the 23-year-old as a €30 million target for the champions, who have released playmaker Andrea Pirlo.
Massimiliano Allegri is focused on adding strength to his midfield, with goalkeeper Christian Abbiati urging the club to sign Hamsik.
But the former Brescia ace is keeping talk at arms length despite being impressed by the associations.
"It’s wonderful that Milan are interested in me, but if an offer arrived then I’d have to talk to Napoli first," he told Sme.
"But I am accustomed to the newspapers writing things that don’t come true.
"If an offer arrived then I would have to talk to Napoli first. I would like to try playing for a club that regularly challenges for the Scudetto and Champions League."
And Champions League football has arrived at San Paolo after Walter Mazzarri's men secured a third-placed finish, all to Hamsik's surprise.
"At the start of the season nobody expected us to qualify for the Champions League. This is an incredible result for the club and I can’t wait to hear the competition theme tune. Only then will I realise what we’ve managed to do, so I’m impatient for the next campaign to start," he continued.
"We were in the top Serie A positions for practically the whole season. There was consistency in our performances, so we deserved our place."
Napoli take on Juventus tonight in the final game of the 2010-11 campaign.
