Getafe vs Sevilla preview - Casquero in buoyant mood

Getafe captain Javi Casquero has urged his team-mates to stay positive as they attempt to end their miserable run of results and avoid slipping any closer to the relegation zone against Sevilla.

Getafe were looking like potential European candidates at the end of 2010 but since the turn of the year they have suffered a dramatic loss of form, taking just eight points from a possible 45.

That has seen Michel's men drop from seventh to 16th in the standings, and left them just four points above the bottom three heading into the home clash with fifth-placed Sevilla.

Things are looking bad for the Madrid-based side, but Casquero is keen to stamp out any negative thoughts.

"The game is a final. This is the game. We have to break our bad run and we need everyone to be united. Whoever comes here, everyone in the dressing room, has to bring positive messages," said the former Sevilla player.

"Anyone who has the slightest doubt should stay away, because they won't contribute anything.

"As much the fans as the people who are in the changing room, we have a common goal which is that the team are playing in the Primera Division next season.

"If a club like this is not in the Primera then it's a disaster."

Sevilla climbed into the top five last weekend following their 2-2 draw at Real Mallorca, but they know they cannot relax with Atletico Madrid, Athletic Bilbao and Espanyol all within two points behind them.

Coach Gregorio Manzano, whose side are eight points off the Champions League spots, could be without Spain winger Jesus Navas for the rest of the season due to injury, while striker Fredi Kanoute has been struggling with a knock this week.
